SUMMARY:ESVS AVF thrombolysis and thrombectomy: treatment strategies
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce another course on the Vascular Access Pathway:\nAVF thrombolysis and thrombectomy: treatment strategies \nYou will be guided by: Dr Flavia Gentile Johansson\, Dr Anton Razuaev\, Dr Maarten Snoeijs\, Dr Matteo Tozzi & Dr Fernando Gallardo \nObjective: Vascular access thrombosis is a very common vascular access complication. Early thrombosis is most often due to an inflow problem and late thrombosis mostly to an outflow stenosis. If left untreated\, it results in the fistula failure. Graft thrombosis is most often caused by neointimal hyperplasia. Thrombosis can be also a complication of needling. Treatment options include surgical thrombectomy or an endovascular approach which involves mechanical or pharmacologic thrombolysis. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. It will highlight the indications for a surgical or an endovascular technique\, which are the most appropriate for given patients. The eligible cases will be presented\, and designed treatment indicated. \nBy attending this course\, participants will know the indications for the specific treatment modalities and be able to decide if they are the most appropriate for a given patient. A thought that there is no unique and perfect treatment modality for each patient will be presented and highlighted. \nTarget audience: The course is designed for vascular surgeons who are performing vascular access surgery.\nParticipant qualifications: An intermediate level of knowledge of vascular access is expected. \nRegistration and Cancellation policy: € 25 for ESVS members and € 30 for non-members. Please note that the course is dependent on final registration numbers. Where registration numbers are too low to run the course\, this will be announced on the website no later than 48 hours before the course starts. For cancellations received more than 10 days before the event\, a refund will be given less an administration fee of EUR10. For cancellations received less than 5 days before the event\, no refund is possible. Please be aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website\, social media and in the e-library. \nCME: CME accreditation is being requested for this session. \nBECOME A MEMBER TODAY \nFind relevant guidelines.
