Nevertheless\, the most important limitation to the widespread use of CAS is represented by a lack of skill by operators. The objective of the workshop is to offer the opportunity to the participants to improve their skills with CAS. The Deep Venous Intervention in Acute DVT\, Post-Thrombotic and Non-Thrombotic Iliac Vein Lesions workshop is part of the programme again.\nIn collaboration with: the 2nd Department of Vascular Surgery\, University of Athens\, Greece.\nCourse confirmed! Please go ahead and book your travel and accommodation!\nAs deep venous interventions are rising there is increasing demand for better understanding of appropriate indications and techniques. This is a hands-on workshop on deep venous procedures on live\, anaesthetised pigs in the operating theatre\, including thrombectomy\, stenting\, IVUS\, IVC filter placement and retrieval. Attendees will attend in-depth lectures by international experts on how to identify appropriate patients and how to use contemporary thrombectomy devices\, dedicated venous stents and IVUS. Case discussions\, silicon-models and simulators will complete the educational activity. To maintain close interaction with the faculty the workshop will be for 16 attendees (first come-first served). \nThis ESVS workshop will allow attendees to better understand indications and patient selection for a deep venous intervention. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their motivation letter and quiz score. The three best candidates will be selected and will receive a preselected case with diagnostic CTA to solve. Each selected participant should prepare to present a solution for the proposed case (10 min presentation + 10 min discussion) starting from pre- and postoperative planning\, continuing with procedure itself and finishing with postoperative workup. The case description with all necessary data will be provided beforehand. A jury consisting of faculty and EVST moderators will announce the winner at the end of the competition. \nTarget audience: Participation in this competition is limited to EVST members. DESCRIPTION:Due to popular demand\, the ESVS Viva Voce practice for the FEBVS exam is back\, with three sessions this year! \nJoin: Sanna Kouhia and Alexander Gratl in the February 2026 edition. \nObjective: The overarching objective of this course is to prepare candidates for some of the different parts of the FEBVS examination. This part of the course prepares candidates for the viva voce section of the examination. \nSmall group viva voce exam practice\, covering FEBVS curriculum topics on vascular disease. The viva voce practice will follow the format of case-based discussion with PowerPoint slides to focus questions and answers. The session is mapped to the FEBVS curriculum and covers a wide range of vascular conditions. Clinical presentation\, pathology\, investigation including imaging and treatment options will be covered during the session. Participants will be split into groups with one member of faculty for each group. Each participant will be asked to manage a clinical scenario for a minimum of 10 minutes under simulated (online) exam conditions whilst the other members of the group observe the discussion. Timings need to be strictly adhered to and will accommodate the number of candidates in each session. The timing of the session will allow for some feedback from the convenors on your performance as well as the chance for candidates to ask any questions. \nOn completion of this section of the course\, as well as assimilating knowledge of lower limb\, carotid\, aortic and venous conditions\, candidates will have a high level of understanding of how to approach answering clinical oral exam questions in an ordered\, organised and logical way. We use high-fidelity simulators and the latest evidence within course design\, assessment and certification. Participants will perform case sizing and planning on 3D-sizing stations and complete several EVAR procedures as surgeons and assistants on virtual reality endovascular simulators. Everything is supervised by highly experienced EVAR surgeons guiding the participants through each step of the EVAR procedure. Trainee to trainer ratio is 2:1\, ensuring intensive learning and feedback. During this course EVAR stent graft with infra-renal fixation will be used during the simulated cases. \nThis ENHANCE EVAR programme will have the same structure as the previous ENHANCE-EVAR courses. However\, the device trained on will be different. ENHANCE Open focuses on open repair of infrarenal aortic aneurysms\, and ENHANCE-EVAR focus on basic endovascular aortic repair (EVAR). Of vascular Surgery\, Bordeaux\, France. \nProgramme description: ENHANCE Open is an ambitious\, 3-day simulation-based educational programme aiming to prepare vascular surgical trainees to perform supervised elective open repair of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms. If you pass the programme\, you will master all the necessary steps of the procedure and be ready to continue training in the OR on patients under supervision. Each course participant will perform 6-8 cases as surgeon\, and 6-8 as assistant under the supervision of highly experienced open aortic surgeons. Course participants will receive supervision\, feedback and tips & tricks. Feedback will be summative in test-cases and formative in supervision-cases. The trainee-tutor rate will be 2:1. During the course\, participants will train on state-of-the-art and life-like\, pulsatile aortic simulation models and aortic inlays (Vascular International) and use original vascular instruments\, grafts and sutures in a simulated OR environment. Course design\, duration and assessment have been tested and validated. We aim to improve our course through ongoing research\, evaluation and feedback\, which is why monitoring with sports watches\, video recording and continuous data collection will be part of this course. Data collection will be strictly confidential and comply with current GDPR and Danish legislation.  In order to get full benefit from the course\, we recommend that the course participant is prioritised for supervising AAA operations afterwards. ENHANCE Open AAA Repair is a part of the ESVS Aortic pathway\, and the course can be used in preparation for the FEBVS exam. \nFull Progamme \nParticipant level: The target group is vascular surgical trainees with limited experience in open AAA repair. Experience with essential peripheral open surgical techniques (instruments\, anastomotic techniques etc.) is required\, as well as basic knowledge of abdominal aortic anatomy. Participants will be trained in teams of two\, based on prior experience (electronic survey)\, and performance throughout the course. \nCertification: Participants’ technical and non-technical skills are assessed continuously with summative and formative feedback to cater to multiple learning styles. Passing course participants will be certified according to Copenhagen standards\, and participants that did not achieve the required competence level will receive a proof of participation. Certification is based on a validated assessment and pass-fail limit using the OPERATE tool. \nRegistration: The course fee is €2300 for ESVS members and €2900  for non-members. The fee includes certification\, 1:2 supervision\, course material\, inlays\, sutures\, grafts\, gloves\, gowns\, lunch\, beverages\, snacks\, and networking dinner. This part of the course prepares candidates for the viva voce section of the examination. \nSmall group viva voce exam practice\, covering FEBVS curriculum topics on vascular disease. The viva voce practice will follow the format of case-based discussion with PowerPoint slides to focus questions and answers. The session is mapped to the FEBVS curriculum and covers a wide range of vascular conditions. Clinical presentation\, pathology\, investigation including imaging and treatment options will be covered during the session. Participants will be split into groups with one member of faculty for each group. Each participant will be asked to manage a clinical scenario for a minimum of 10 minutes under simulated (online) exam conditions whilst the other members of the group observe the discussion. Timings need to be strictly adhered to and will accommodate the number of candidates in each session. The timing of the session will allow for some feedback from the convenors on your performance as well as the chance for candidates to ask any questions. \nOn completion of this section of the course\, as well as assimilating knowledge of lower limb\, carotid\, aortic and venous conditions\, candidates will have a high level of understanding of how to approach answering clinical oral exam questions in an ordered\, organised and logical way.
