SUMMARY:Endoleak Workshop: Advanced Management Strategies and Hands-On Training - 1st edition!
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with: Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery\, USL TOSCANA CENTRO\, Florence\, Italy\nCourse confirmed! Please go ahead and book your travel and accommodation!\nThis session provides a comprehensive overview of endoleak management\, focusing on the entire process from diagnosis to treatment optimisation. The discussion begins with the identification and classification of endoleaks\, emphasising the use of advanced imaging techniques such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS)\, computed tomography angiography (CTA)\, and CO2 angiography to accurately diagnose and characterise the issue. Participants will learn how to evaluate the clinical relevance of an endoleak\, considering factors such as aneurysm sac growth\, patient health\, and the nature of the leak to decide between intervention and observation. The session will then delve into the development of a tailored treatment strategy\, providing a step-by-step guide to selecting the optimal approach based on the type and location of the endoleak. Access routes such as transarterial\, transealing\, translumbar\, and transcaval will be reviewed\, with guidance on how to determine the most appropriate option for each case. Techniques for embolisation will be explored in depth\, including the selection and application of coils\, liquid embolic agents\, and plug devices\, along with strategies for addressing challenging anatomy or persistent leaks. Participants will gain insights into optimising procedural outcomes\, including tips for precision during interventions\, the importance of imaging for real-time guidance\, and protocols for post-treatment monitoring. Real-world case studies will be presented to illustrate decision-making and treatment execution\, offering attendees a practical understanding of endoleak management and enhancing their ability to achieve successful patient outcomes. \nObjectives:\nEquip participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills for managing endoleaks.\nDeepen understanding of coils\, liquid agents\, and their clinical applications.\nFoster a collaborative and interactive learning environment through case discussions and hands-on experiences. \nJoin the faculty team:\nEmiliano Chisci – Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Unit  “San Giovanni di Dio” Hospital\, Florence\, Italy\nMichele Piazza – Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Padova; Italy\nFrancesca Calcagni – Radiology Unit  “San Giovanni di Dio” Hospital\, Florence\, Unit\nEnrico Gallitto – UO di Chirurgia Vascolare Interaziendale di Bologna\, IRCCS Policlinico S.Orsola\, Università di Bologna – DIMEC\, Bologna\, Italia\nGianbattista Parlani – Azienda Ospedaliera Perugia\, Santa Maria della Misericordia\, Perugia\, Italia\nLorenzo Patrone – Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Unit  “San Giovanni di Dio” Hospital\, Florence\, Italy\nKak Khee Yeung – Full Professor\, Vascular Surgery.
