DESCRIPTION:What is next on the Vascular Access Academy Pathway ? \n21st April (18:00-20:00) \nJoin Flavia Gentile\, Joris Rotmans\, Matteo Tozzi\, Roberta Brambilla and Anton Razuvaev \nVascular access thrombosis is a very common vascular access complication. Early thrombosis most often due to an inflow problem and late thrombosis mostly to an outflow stenosis. If left untreated\, it results in the fistula failure. Graft thrombosis is most often caused by neointimal hyperplasia. Thrombosis can be also a complication of needling. Treatment options include surgical thrombectomy or an endovascular approach which involves mechanical or pharmacologic thrombolysis. \nThe course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. The course will highlight the indications for a surgical or an endovascular technique\, which are the most appropriate for given patients. The eligible cases will be presented\, and designed treatment indicated. \nThe course is designed for vascular surgeons who are performing vascular access surgery. An intermediate level of knowledge of vascular access is expected.  \nRegistration IS OPEN! \nCourse fees : 25€ ESVS Members\, 30€ Non-members \nCancellation policy: \nFor cancellations received more than 5 days before the event\, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR. \nFor cancellations received less than 5 days before the event\, no refund is possible. \nCME accreditation is being requested for this session. \nParticipants are aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website and e-library. \n
