SUMMARY:Basic Course in Vascular Ultrasound
DESCRIPTION:The ESVS Academy and the Department of Vascular Surgery\, Rigshospitalet\, Denmark invite you to the upcoming Basic Course in Vascular Ultrasound. \n27\, 28 and 29 January 2022 \nObjective  \nVascular ultrasound is an important imaging modality in vascular surgery. The objective with this course is to teach the participants to be able to perform some of the most basic vascular ultrasound examinations: abdominal aorta\, femoral arteries\, peripheral bypasses\, basic carotid ultrasound\, percutaneous access\, deep venous thromboses and varicose veins. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to practice their skills under supervision during the course. This course corresponds to the curriculum of the theoretical part of EFSUMB Level 1 in Vascular Ultrasound (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Online quizzes and tests will be conducted regularly during the course and the faculty underlines that attendance in the entire course is mandatory in order to receive course certificate and CME points. \nParticipants’ qualifications \nThe course is designed for vascular surgeons\, vascular surgeons in training and vascular nurses and technologist. No prior ultrasound experience is required but basic knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology is expected. \nRegistration fee \n€ 1050 for ESVS members and € 1200 for non-members. The fee includes course material\, and lunch. Transport\, accommodation and additional meals are not included. \nTICKETS ARE SOLD OUT \nProgramme \n

DESCRIPTION:The PAD Academy Pathway continues …  \n27th January (17:00-19:00) \n\n \nTrainees are often daunted by the wide array of unfamiliar kits required to perform endovascular procedures. This workshop aims to introduce candidates to the basic endovascular toolkit (incl. wires\, catheters\, balloons\, stents…) required for peripheral interventions and familiarise them in a friendly\, interactive environment\, with the opportunity to ask and discuss anything in regards to endovascular tools with the expert faculty. \nJoin Michel Bosiers (St Franziskus-Hospital\, Münster) and Stefano Fazzini.   \nIntended audience: \nThe course is designed for (endo)vascular surgeons\, vascular surgeons in training. Basic knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology is expected. \nRegistration is OPEN. \nCourse fees : 25€ ESVS Members\, 30€ Non-members \nCancellation policy: \nFor cancellations received more than 5 days before the event\, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR. \nFor cancellations received less than 5 days before the event\, no refund is possible. \nCME accreditation is being requested for this session. \nParticipants are aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website and e-library. \n
