SUMMARY:Venous Pathway Module: Deep and pelvic veins treatment – when to open and when to occlude?
DESCRIPTION:Presenting the next workshop in the Academy Venous Pathway  \n \nAs deep and pelvic veins disorders are not commonly treated\, there is need to show the possibilities of therapeutical options in this field. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. During this workshop\, upon presented cases\, participants will discuss with the experienced convenors about the various factors influencing the outcomes of a deep venous stenting procedure and venous embolization and also the indications for these interventions\, various techniques of the procedures (stents\, balloons\,coils\, fluids\, foam). Aspects such as decision-making and planning\, intra-operative imaging\, device-technologies and the procedural steps will be looked at. \n  \nJoin Adam Zielinski\, Michal Goran Stanisic and Zbigniew Krasinski online to discuss : \n\nDecision-making and planning-process for embolisation and stenting in the deep venous system\nHow to list the advantages of procedural treatment vs. conservative treatment\nThe advantages of using specific embolisation and stenting devices for given case (tailoring the treatment)\n\n \nRegistration is OPEN. \nCourse fees : 25€ ESVS Members\, 30€ Non-members \nCancellation policy:\nFor cancellations received more than 5 days before the event\, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR.\nFor cancellations received less than 5 days before the event\, no refund is possible. \nProficiency level: The course is designed for vascular surgeons or vascular surgeons.  An intermediate level of  knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology is expected. The participants should also be familiar with basis of  phlebological diagnostic and treatment procedures. \nParticipants are aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website and e-library.
