DESCRIPTION:Accredited with 7 CME points!\nThis October\, you are invited to a one-of-a-kind collaborative event brought to you by the ESVS and the Serbian Society for Cardiovascular surgery. \nThis meeting aims to bring together vascular specialists from all over Europe\, including Serbia and its neighbouring countries\, for a one-day conference in Belgrade.  The programme will be comprised of scientific sessions\, lectures\, and round table discussions through which ESVS representatives\, along with local and regional experts\, will be able to exchange on a wide range of subjects. \nFaculty include: Dr. Stefano Ancetti\, Dr. Frederico Bastos Goncalves\, Dr. Christian-Alexander Behrendt\, Prof. Gert de Borst\, Prof. Lazar Davidovic\, Prof. Mauro Gargiulo\, Dr. Mladen Gasparini\, Prof. Nenad Ilijevski\, Prof. Mihai Ionac\, Dr. Christos Karkos\, Prof. Philippe Kolh\, Dr. Igor Koncar\, Dr.Nikola Lazovski\, Dr. Konstantinos G Moulakakis\, Dr. Zoran Rancic\, Dr. Zoltan Szeberin and Prof. Maarit Venermo. \nAn exclusive trainee session will take place on Sunday 30th October. SUMMARY:Basic Vascular Ultrasound Course
DESCRIPTION:The ESVS Academy invites you to Crowne Plaza hotel in Belgrade\, Serbia for the upcoming Basic Vascular Ultrasound Course. \n1-2 November 2022 \nJoin: Igor Koncar\, Belgrade\, Kim Kargaard Bredahl\, Denmark and others\, to be confirmed. \nObjectives \nVascular ultrasound provides immediate diagnostic\, and may provide clinically important information that cannot be obtained by any other imaging modality. Vascular ultrasound is harmless and can be performed at the bedside. \nThe course is 50% theoretical and 50% hands-on. During the course\, participants will be taught physics and principles behind vascular ultrasound\, ultrasound anatomy and how to perform basic vascular ultrasound examination. This includes abdominal aorta\, femoral arteries\, peripheral bypasses\, basic carotid ultrasound\, deep venous thromboses and varicose veins. Classroom sessions will be followed by hands-on sessions\, where course participants will have the opportunity to practise under supervision on patients with relevant vascular disease. \nThis course corresponds to the curriculum of the theoretical part of EFSUMB Level 1 in Vascular Ultrasound (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Attendance at the entire course is mandatory\, in order to receive a course certificate with your CME points. \nParticipants’ qualifications \nThe course is aimed at vascular surgeons\, vascular residents\, nurses\, technicians\, sonographers taking their first steps. Knowledge of human anatomy is mandatory but prior experience with ultrasound is not required. \nCME and Medtech \nCME accreditation is being requested for this session. \nMedtech accreditation is being requested for this session. Participants are aware that the online session will be recorded and may be used by the ESVS on our website and e-library. \nRegistration fee & cancellation policy \n€ 550 for ESVS members and € 800 for non-members. The fee includes course material\, lunch\, and networking dinner. Transport\, accommodation and additional meals are not included. Please note that the course is dependent on final registration numbers. The final decision of whether the course will be conducted is announced on the website no later than one calendar month before the course starts. Travel and accommodation must therefore not be booked until this message is given – ESVS is not financially responsible if the event has to be cancelled due to low numbers\, in this timeframe. For cancellations received by participants more than 20 days before the event\, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR. SUMMARY:Diagnosis and treatment of popliteal artery aneurysm
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe ESVS Academy invites you to their upcoming workshop: Diagnosis and treatment of popliteal artery aneurysm. \nJoin: Igor Koncar\, Martin Bjorck\, Anne Cervin and Irwin Mohan. \nObjective \nPopliteal artery aneurysm is limb and life-threatening condition due to its complications – thrombosis and rupture. Low incidence of this disease impede gaining expertise in treatment. Open repair of PAA is both challenging and controversial since multiple options are available and evidence to support any strategy is scarce. From the diagnostic dilemma of screening to controversial questions of approach (dorsal/medial) and conduit (graft/vein) selection and decision to choose endovascular solution when results are still difficult to compare with invasive open repair. \nThrough interactive case discussion model and voting of the audience experts in this field will guide you through all these controversies and many more\, share with audience their experience\, and openly discuss all arguments used to select treatment strategy in these patients. \nBy attending this course\, participants will know the indications for some specific treatment modalities and be able to decide if they are the most appropriate for given patient. A thought that there is no unique and perfect treatment modality for each patient will be presented and highlighted. \nParticipants’ qualifications \nThe course is designed for basic level of knowledge of pathology and pathophysiology of the aneurysm disease as well as knowledge about clinical presentation is expected. The participants should be familiar with diagnostic procedures. \nRegistration fee & cancellation policy \n€ 25 for ESVS members and € 30 for non-members. Please note that the course is dependent on final registration numbers.
