EVST Online Competition – February 2026

Orsola Bologna, Università degli Studi di Bologna, DIMEC, Others, to be confirmed Moderators: Petar Zlatanovic, Valerija Mosenko, Ilkin Bakirli, Gemmi Sufali This competition is designed to enhance and promote knowledge of the management of arterial and venous mesenteric disease from preoperative planning until postoperative patient management (whole spectrum of care). Applicants should have experience in mesenteric artery and venous disease before applying for this competition. How will it work? Once participants have submitted their motivation letter, they will be invited to complete a quiz. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their motivation letter and quiz score. The three best candidates will be selected and will receive a preselected case with diagnostic CTA to solve. ESVS Viva Voce practice for the FEBVS exam – February 2026
Due to popular demand, the ESVS Viva Voce practice for the FEBVS exam is back, with three sessions this year! Join: Sanna Kouhia and Alexander Gratl in the February 2026 edition. Objective: The overarching objective of this course is to prepare candidates for some of the different parts of the FEBVS examination. This part of the course prepares candidates for the viva voce section of the examination. Small group viva voce exam practice, covering FEBVS curriculum topics on vascular disease. The viva voce practice will follow the format of case-based discussion with PowerPoint slides to focus questions and answers. The session is mapped to the FEBVS curriculum and covers a wide range of vascular conditions. Clinical presentation, pathology, investigation including imaging and treatment options will be covered during the session. Participants will be split into groups with one member of faculty for each group. Each participant will be asked to manage a clinical scenario for a minimum of 10 minutes under simulated (online) exam conditions whilst the other members of the group observe the discussion.
