EVST Online Competition – Vascular Trauma

Earlier this year, the EVST (European Vascular Surgeons in Training), also known as the trainee members of the ESVS, held the first editions of a series of competitions created to encourage vascular trainees to practise their skills, learn from their peers and from experts, and put their knowledge to the test.

The first EVST Online Competition was held back in June, on the topic of planning and performing open aortic surgery. We continued to test trainees’ aortic skills during the EVST Aortic Triathlon at the ESVS 37th Annual Meeting in Belfast.

And now, we are happy to announce that the next EVST Online Competition will take place next month! We’re changing things up a bit – this time, trainees will be given vascular trauma cases and they will have to present their plan of action to a panel of judges.

The best presentation will receive €600 and bragging rights! So make sure your EVST membership is valid and join us by contacting phoebe@esvs.org.
