ESVS ACADEMY

The ESVS Academy Committee is in charge of developing and managing education and training activities of the ESVS.

ESVS LIBRARY COMMITTEE

The ESVS Library Committee is responsible for the development and supervision of the ESVS Library. The ESVS Library platform includes various educational materials, such as videos from ESVS events (Webinars, Masterclasses, Annual Meetings and more), podcasts, abstract books and other documents. In addition, the ESVS Library hosts the ESVS electronic textbook– “Virtual Vascular” with chapters on pre-defined topics written by experts in different fields of vascular surgery and updated on a regular basis.

PODCAST COMMITTEE

The Podcast Committee is responsible for planning, writing, recording and editing all ESVS Podcasts. The group was born in 2019 and became a committee in 2023. The team has released over 150 open access podcasts to date.

The European Research Hub was set up in 2022 and seeks to increase the participation in high quality clinical research in vascular disease throughout Europe and internationally.

The Guidelines Committee was set up in 2013 with the responsibility to identify topics and develop guidelines.

IRBD COMMITTEE

The Industry Relationships and Business Development (IRBD) Committee is in charge of developing partnerships with medical devices and pharmaceutical companies in the vascular healthcare field.

The IRBD connects ESVS and all of its activities and committees to potential sponsors. This sponsorship is used to run the society and facilitate the work of our office and of all the volunteers within the society. One of the main objectives of the IRBD is to protect the scientific independence of ESVS.

The European Vascular Surgeons in Training (EVST) represents the interests of trainees in vascular surgery within the European Society for Vascular Surgery, especially with regards to training, education, careers, research and exchange programmes.

VASCUNET

Vascunet is a committee of the European Society of Vascular Surgery which aims to increase knowledge and understanding of vascular disease, and to promote excellence in vascular surgery, by means of international vascular audit.

The European Venous Registry (EVeR) Steering Committee is responsible for the strategic and scientific oversight of the Registry. It ensures the quality of the registry’s design, data monitoring, analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

The committee safeguards the registry’s scientific integrity and guides its development to improve venous care across Europe.
