The ESVS Academy proudly revisits the Planning and Sizing series - EVAR: Abdominal Aorta (elective and emergent)  Session 1 : Planning and sizing elective EVAR               23rd March (18:00-20:00) Session 2 : Planning and sizing emergent EVAR             30th March (18:00-20:00) This 2-part series  is designed to provide gradually more and more advanced knowledge in the field of planning and sizing.  Participants will learn about the pathology of abdominal aorta, important features, diagnosis, planning and sizing. Discuss the steps of the procedure, their importance and role in the process, as well as the consequences of mistakes occurred.. ENHANCE OPEN A collaboration:  Esvs and copeNHAgeN CErtification programme (ENHANCE ) is arranged as a collaboration between the ESVS Academy, the Department of Vascular Surgery at the University Hospital of Copenhagen (Rigshospitalet) and the Copenhagen Academy of Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES), Denmark. Today, the ENHANCE program consists of two courses that can be taken independently. ENHANCE OPEN focuses on open repair of infrarenal aortic aneurysms, and ENHANCE-EVAR focus on basic endovascular aortic repair (EVAR). We are pleased to announce a new course!  Join: Miss Francesca Fratesi, Mr Dave Bosanquet (UK) and Dr Maria Cristina Sorella (Italy) and Dr. Steve Young (UK) Objective: Pain management is one of the most difficult aspects on the care of the patient affected by PAD. A good assessment and treatment of pain is one of the most effective parts of the treatement both in preparation and for the postoperative care. It affects all patients with PAD at different level of severity so it is to be considered endemic. Focusing on its causes and medications and treatment available will improve the patient experience and their compliance to other aspect of their care. Two weeks before the course, participants will have access to the online module that includes a full-length recording of the lectures. This allows a comprehensive coverage of the theory saving time for on-site hands-on. Some topics will be explained while performing the exam live in the same room. Systematic reviews of the published literature are a well recognised and respected way of contributing to our understanding of vascular disease. The course is designed to give the participants wider and clearer knowledge of how to plan, conduct, write up and publish a systematic review. As well as advancing knowledge, performing and publishing a systematic review is an excellent way to enhance your curriculum vitae and career opportunities. The course is run by vascular surgeons who have enormous experience in conducting and supervising systematic reviews. By attending this course, participants will know how to plan, perform, write up and publish a systematic review.
