Technologies in Endovascular Arterial Repair (TEAR)

The topic of TEAR 2021 is the technology in the treatment of Arterial Diseases and we will discuss with an European Faculty about the treatment of Aortic Disease, Supraortic Trunks and Calcified Obstructive Peripheral Arterial Diseases. The world of vascular surgery is evolving at a dynamic pace that requires harmonization with research, technological advances, device innovations and technical refinements in the treatment of Arterial Diseases. Join: Zoran Rancic, Konstantinos Donas and Michel Reijnen   Objective:  This web-based course is designed for physicians with moderate to advanced experience in the endovascular treatment of juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm with the Chimney technique (ChEVAR). It aims to provide a practical and structured approach to patient-selection, procedural steps and material needs to perform a standardised ChEVAR procedure. The small number of participants will allow for discussions between the faculty and attendees about this technique. Viva Voce practice for the FEBVS exam

The Academy introduces: Viva Voce practice for the FEBVS exam You will be in the experienced hands of: David Lewis; Sanna Kouhia and Eline van Hattum.  Objective: Small group viva voce exam practice, covering FEBVS curriculum topics on vascular disease. The viva voce practice will follow the format of Case Based Discussion with PowerPoint slides to focus questions and answers.The session is mapped to the FEBVS curriculum and covers a wide range of vascular conditions. Clinical presentation, pathology, investigation including imaging and treatment options will be covered during the session. Participants will be split into groups with one member of Faculty for each group. Each participant will be asked to manage a clinical scenario for a minimum of 10 minutes under simulated (online) exam conditions whilst the other members of the group observe the discussion. Timings need to be strictly adhered to and will accommodate the number of candidates in each session. The timing of the session will allow for some feedback from the convenors on your performance as well as the chance for candidates to ask any questions.
