Objective: This comprehensive workshop is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their experience in using vascular closure devices (VCDs). We will discuss the fundamental principles of vascular access, explore the evolution of VCDs, and gain practical skills through hands-on training. The workshop will cover four types of VCDs (Manta, Prostyle, Starclose, Angioseal), offering a nuanced understanding of their applications and limitations. Participants will learn how to assess patients for VCD suitability, ensuring safe and effective use in various clinical scenarios. Through interactive sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to practice deploying different VCDs on wet-models, simulating real-world procedures.
