We will focus on the management of the different types of TOS and what the current controversies are. In conclusion the future perspectives of treatment and follow-up will be shared. The thoracic outlet syndrome is a rare and difficult to detect condition, but can lead to serious chronic and disabling complaints. Early recognition and adequate treatment is key. Therefore knowledge on its anatomy, pathophysiology, and different clinical presentation per type of TOS is essential to recognize this syndrome at an early stage and to have a better understanding of which diagnostic modality and treatment option is useful. By attending this course, you will learn the anatomy, pathophysiology, epidemiology and clinical presentation of the thoracic outlet syndrome in general and its clinical subtypes.
