The Fundamentals of EVAR

EVST invites you to the Aemilia Hotel in Bologna for a special Hands-on Workshop. 13-14 May 2022 Join: Stefano Ancetti (Italy) Bahaa Arefai (Spain) Enrico Cieri (Italy) Liliana Fidalgo Domingos (Portugal) Enrico Gallitto (Italy) Mauro Gargiulo (Italy) Zoran Rancic (Serbia) Petar Zlatanovic (Serbia) Objectives Provide fundamental knowledge on standard EVAR to trainees going through proximal and distal landing zone evaluation and endograft choice based on anatomical characteristics Provide information on each of the most used endograft available on market Exposure to repeated planning and implant simulations of standard EVAR mentored by renowned European experts in their field Target audience: The workshop will be most useful for trainees in the middle part of their training but trainees just starting or finishing their training are are welcome to apply. VISAR (Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair)

The VISAR (Vienna Interdisciplinary Symposium on Aortic Repair) will be held from May 20-21, 2022, in Vienna/Austria. Over the course of VISAR 2022, you’ll be informed about newest findings and knowledge related to aortic diseases, get an insight into ongoing trials, exchange with your peers and learn from international experts! Take the opportunity to actively contribute to the meeting by submitting a case to present, by participating in the debates & discussions and getting educated by attending some of the small group hands-on sessions! The program once again consists on a well-balanced mixture of state-of-the-art lectures on management of challenging cases and complications, related case presentations and discussions, and hands-on training sessions on different topics related to aortic therapy as well. The Academy proudly presents another of the Planning and Sizing series! Session 1 : Planning and sizing elective EVAR - 2nd June (18:00-20:00) Session 2 : Planning and sizing emergent EVAR - 16th June (18:00-20:00) This 2-part series  is designed to provide gradually more and more advanced knowledge in the field of planning and sizing.  Participants will learn about the pathology of abdominal aorta, important features, diagnosis, planning and sizing. Discuss the steps of the procedure, their importance and role in the process, as well as the consequences of mistakes occurred.. You will be in the capable hands of several of our Academy Pathway Leads including Zoran Rancic, Igor Koncar, Flavia Gentile Johansson and Claudia Schrimpf. In addition, Christos Karkos, Fernando Gallardo and Frederico Bastos Goncalves will complete the faculty who will guide you in the online workshops.  Course fees: We strongly recommend that you register for both modules in the Abdominal Aorta (elective and emergent) series. Translational Spring Meeting

The Translational Spring Meeting, in collaboration with ESVB, promotes Translational Science in European Vascular Surgery. This meeting aims to bring together basic researchers, industry and physicians on the same site to provide scientific updates on burning issues in the field of vascular biomaterials, education, vascular biology and imaging. Young researchers will be given the chance to present their work to a panel of key opinion leaders in their fields of interest and to compete for the Young Researcher Prize.
