As the pool of phlebological patients is very wide and many treatment modalities can be utilised, the course will highlight the indications for some specific methods, which are the most appropriate for given patients. The ESVS Academy invites you to their upcoming workshop: Controversial case discussion ACST II trial: to treat or not to treat. Join: C. Schrimpf, HH Eckstein, B Rantner, A Halliday  Please note that this workshop is being postponed until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience.  Objective Asymtomatic carotid artery Stenosis is a very common vascular disorder based on generalized atherosclerosis within the vascular bed. Treatment of severe carotid artery stenosis is performed to restore patency and reduce stroke risk. Nevertheless, the procedural risk for disabeling stroke or death is about 1% in CAS and CEA. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. The course will highlight the findings of the ACST II trial based on clinical cases and also highlight current treatment guidelines on carotid artery stenosis. During this workshop, each expert will present a case of carotid artery stenosis and the way the patient was treated (max. 8 min/case for a total of 36 min).
