Presenting the next workshop in the Academy Venous Pathway As deep and pelvic veins disorders are not commonly treated, there is need to show the possibilities of therapeutical options in this field. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. During this workshop, upon presented cases, participants will discuss with the experienced convenors about the various factors influencing the outcomes of a deep venous stenting procedure and venous embolization and also the indications for these interventions, various techniques of the procedures (stents, balloons,coils, fluids, foam). It seems that there is a lack of vascular surgeons treating venous pathologies. This the course is designed to give participants wider knowledge which will be useful in their daily practice. As the pool of phlebological patients is very wide and many treatment modalities can be used, the course will highlight indications for some specific methods, which are the most appropriate for given patients. We apologise for the inconvenience.  Objective Asymtomatic carotid artery Stenosis is a very common vascular disorder based on generalized atherosclerosis within the vascular bed. Treatment of severe carotid artery stenosis is performed to restore patency and reduce stroke risk. Nevertheless, the procedural risk for disabeling stroke or death is about 1% in CAS and CEA. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. The course will highlight the findings of the ACST II trial based on clinical cases and also highlight current treatment guidelines on carotid artery stenosis. During this workshop, each expert will present a case of carotid artery stenosis and the way the patient was treated (max. 8 min/case for a total of 36 min). Join: Dr Flavia Gentile Johansson, Dr Matteo Tozzi, Dr Fernando Gallardo, Dr Joy Roy Objective Vascular access maintenance often requires the use of stents and stent graft. These can be used in different scenario such as cephalic arch stenosis, recurrent stenosis, exclusion of aneurysms and pseudo aneurysms, repair of pta induced vascular rupture. Stents should be used carefully in order not to jeopardize future secondary fistula creation. The course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. The course will highland the indications for stent and stent graft placement in vascular access. The eligible cases will be presented, and designed treatment indicated. By attending this course, participants will know the indications for stent and stent graft placement and be able to decide if they are the most appropriate for given patient. A thought that there is no unique and perfect treatment modality for each patient will be presented and highlighted.
