The ESVS Academy and the Department of Vascular Surgery, Rigshospitalet, Denmark invite you to the upcoming Basic Course in Vascular Ultrasound. 27, 28 and 29 January 2022 Objective Vascular ultrasound is an important imaging modality in vascular surgery. The objective with this course is to teach the participants to be able to perform some of the most basic vascular ultrasound examinations: abdominal aorta, femoral arteries, peripheral bypasses, basic carotid ultrasound, percutaneous access, deep venous thromboses and varicose veins. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills under supervision during the course. This course corresponds to the curriculum of the theoretical part of EFSUMB Level 1 in Vascular Ultrasound (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Online quizzes and tests will be conducted regularly during the course and the faculty underlines that attendance in the entire course is mandatory in order to receive course certificate and CME points. Participants’ qualifications The course is designed for vascular surgeons, vascular surgeons in training and vascular nurses and technologist. The PAD Academy Pathway continues ... 27th January (17:00-19:00) Trainees are often daunted by the wide array of unfamiliar kits required to perform endovascular procedures. This workshop aims to introduce candidates to the basic endovascular toolkit (incl. wires, catheters, balloons, stents…) required for peripheral interventions and familiarise them in a friendly, interactive environment, with the opportunity to ask and discuss anything in regards to endovascular tools with the expert faculty. Join Michel Bosiers (St Franziskus-Hospital, Münster) and Stefano Fazzini.  Intended audience: The course is designed for (endo)vascular surgeons, vascular surgeons in training. Basic knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology is expected. Registration is OPEN. Course fees : 25€ ESVS Members, 30€ Non-members Cancellation policy: For cancellations received more than 5 days before the event, a refund will be given less an administration fee of 10 EUR. For cancellations received less than 5 days before the event, no refund is possible. CME accreditation is being requested for this session.
