The ESVS Academy invites you to Bellvitge University Hospital for the upcoming Hands-on Workshop in Vascular Ultrasound. 4-6 May 2022 Objective The course provides a thorough grounding in the clinical skills to work in vascular ultrasound. During the course, participants are presented an intensive series of short lectures focussed on technical aspects of the different US examinations. Lecturers explain the examinations while performing one in the same room on selected patients. Classroom teaching is supplemented by sessions at the Vascular Laboratory, where participants have the opportunity to practice their skills under supervision on patients with relevant disease and on silicone models for  US guided puncture. Hands-on sessions last  5 hours each day. (4 participants /1 tutor/ 1 station) E-learning module Before attending the course, participants will have access to an on-line blended learning module that will introduce them to the basic knowledge of ultrasound and the standards of the different examinations. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.    Objective Building on what was taught at the Basic Course in Vascular Ultrasound in January this year, the objective of this course is to teach the science behind, technical and practical aspects of more advanced vascular ultrasound examinations, i.e. arteries of the lower limb below the knee, carotid and vertebral arteries, arteries of the upper limb, haemodialysis vascular access, EVAR surveillance, mesenteric and celiac trunk, and 3D and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. Participants will have an opportunity to practice their skills under supervision during the course as > 50% of the course will be hands-on sessions on patients with relevant vascular pathology. Already have basic knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology?  Then here is your chance to advance your skills in a course designed for vascular surgeons and vascular surgeons in training.  The ESVS Academy invites you to their upcoming workshop: How to tailor the treatment for the patients with superficial venous disease upon 2022 ESVS guidelines. Join: Adam Zieliński, Jose Hipola, Sergio Gianesini, Michał Stanisic Objective As chronic veins disease is a very common vascular disorder, its treatment requires many specialists to be able to maintain the problem. It seems that there is a lack of vascular surgeons treating venous pathologies. Thus the course is designed to give the participants wider knowledge useful in their daily practice. As the pool of phlebological patients is very wide and many treatment modalities can be utilised, the course will highlight the indications for some specific methods, which are the most appropriate for given patients. Due to the fact that new ESVS clinical practice guidelines on the management of chronic venous disease of the lower limbs were published in 2022, there is a need to update the knowledge to improve treatment efficiency.
