The first ESVS Academy session of 2022 20th January (18:00-20:00)   This workshop will provide information about advanced tips and tricks when performing endovascular procedures on arteries below the knee. Convenors will describe indications for revascularisation and optimal patient selection, techniques step by step from the approach to the treatment. Importantly, the limited number of attendees will allow for an interactive session, to discuss clinical cases between the speakers and the audience. Yann GOUËFFIC and Alessandro COSTANZO look forward to seeing you.     Intended audience: The course is designed for physicians that already performing endovascular interventions on peripheral arteries on femoro popliteal segment and would like to expand their field of treatment or for those that are already performing interventions below the knee and are seeking for tips. An advanced and intermediate level of knowledge of attendees is expected. The participants should also be familiar with basic endovascular toolkits. Registration is OPEN. The ESVS Academy and the Department of Vascular Surgery, Rigshospitalet, Denmark invite you to the upcoming Basic Course in Vascular Ultrasound. 27, 28 and 29 January 2022 Objective Vascular ultrasound is an important imaging modality in vascular surgery. The objective with this course is to teach the participants to be able to perform some of the most basic vascular ultrasound examinations: abdominal aorta, femoral arteries, peripheral bypasses, basic carotid ultrasound, percutaneous access, deep venous thromboses and varicose veins. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills under supervision during the course. This course corresponds to the curriculum of the theoretical part of EFSUMB Level 1 in Vascular Ultrasound (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology). Online quizzes and tests will be conducted regularly during the course and the faculty underlines that attendance in the entire course is mandatory in order to receive course certificate and CME points. Participants’ qualifications The course is designed for vascular surgeons, vascular surgeons in training and vascular nurses and technologist. The PAD Academy Pathway continues ...  27th January (17:00-19:00) Trainees are often daunted by the wide array of unfamiliar kits required to perform endovascular procedures. This workshop aims to introduce candidates to the basic endovascular toolkit (incl. wires, catheters, balloons, stents…) required for peripheral interventions and familiarise them in a friendly, interactive environment, with the opportunity to ask and discuss anything in regards to endovascular tools with the expert faculty.
