The ESVS and Copenhagen Certification Programme in Endovascular Aortic Repair - The ENHANCE EVAR Programme (Infrarenal fixation) Please note, this course is cancelled due to low take-up. We apologise for any inconvenience.  A collaboration:  Esvs and copeNHAgeN CErtification programme (ENHANCE ) is arranged as a collaboration between the ESVS Academy, the Department of Vascular Surgery at the University Hospital of Copenhagen (Rigshospitalet) and the Copenhagen Academy of Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES), Denmark. Today, the ENHANCE programme consists of two courses that can be taken independently of each other. ENHANCE Open focuses on open repair of infrarenal aortic aneurysms, and ENHANCE- EVAR focus on basic endovascular aortic repair (EVAR). Both courses are a part of the ESVS Aortic Fellowship Programme. This ENHANCE EVAR programme will have the same structure as the previous ENHANCE-EVAR courses. However, the device trained on will be different. The discussion begins with the identification and classification of endoleaks, emphasising the use of advanced imaging techniques such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), computed tomography angiography (CTA), and CO2 angiography to accurately diagnose and characterise the issue. Participants will learn how to evaluate the clinical relevance of an endoleak, considering factors such as aneurysm sac growth, patient health, and the nature of the leak to decide between intervention and observation. The session will then delve into the development of a tailored treatment strategy, providing a step-by-step guide to selecting the optimal approach based on the type and location of the endoleak. Endovascular toolkit in arteriovenous fistula dysfunction 2026

Objective: The aim of this workshop is to give the participants an overview about endovascular tools which can be useful for fistula dysfunction.  Fistulae often require interventions during their lifetime to improve or maintain their function and quality on dialysis. Endovascular techniques are often needed and used by interventional radiologist and vascular surgeons to tackle most common dysfunctions like thrombosis, stenosis, pseudoaneurysms, etc . This course is designed to give participants knowledge that they can use in their daily practice through a description of case scenarios and discussions in between specialists in the field. By attending this course, participants will know the basic tools to treat fistula dysfunction (stenosis, thrombosis) and the indications for some specific treatment modalities and be able to decide if they are the most appropriate for a given patient.
