In collaboration with: Zuyderland Medical Center, Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Heerlen, the Netherlands Unfortunately, due to low take-up, this course has been cancelled.  This comprehensive workshop is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their experience in using vascular closure devices (VCDs). We will discuss the fundamental principles of vascular access, explore the evolution of VCDs, and gain practical skills through hands-on training. The workshop will cover four types of VCDs, offering a nuanced understanding of their applications and limitations. Participants will learn how to assess patients for VCD suitability, ensuring safe and effective use in various clinical scenarios. Through interactive sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to practise deploying different VCDs on wet-models, simulating real-world procedures. We will show how the different VCDs work on live cases. The workshop will also address complications associated with VCDs and provide strategies for their prevention and management. ENHANCE PAD - A Certifying Workshop in Basic Endovascular Techniques and Treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) A collaboration:  Esvs and copeNHAgeN CErtification programme (ENHANCE ) is a a collaborative initiative between the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS), the Copenhagen Academy of Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES), and the Department of Vascular Surgery at the University Hospital Copenhagen-Rigshospitalet. In the ENHANCE programme, acquired skills and knowledge will be certified based on validated assessment methods. It's back! The Deep Venous Intervention in Acute DVT, Post-Thrombotic and Non-Thrombotic Iliac Vein Lesions workshop is part of the programme again. In collaboration with: the 2nd Department of Vascular Surgery, University of Athens, Greece. Course confirmed! Please go ahead and book your travel and accommodation! As deep venous interventions are rising there is increasing demand for better understanding of appropriate indications and techniques. This is a hands-on workshop on deep venous procedures on live, anaesthetised pigs in the operating theatre, including thrombectomy, stenting, IVUS, IVC filter placement and retrieval. Attendees will attend in-depth lectures by international experts on how to identify appropriate patients and how to use contemporary thrombectomy devices, dedicated venous stents and IVUS. Case discussions, silicon-models and simulators will complete the educational activity. To maintain close interaction with the faculty the workshop will be for 16 attendees (first come-first served).
